Hey guys,
This one is a blog of sincere thanks. Last week was the annual blog awards and never in my wildest dreams did I think I would make it as far as I did. I didn’t dare to think I would end up on the long list, short list, let alone be ranked amongst the finalists. I am absolutely floored and overwhelmed to have done so. I literally could never have managed any of it without you.

My blog started 3 years ago with the view to it just being me messing around and sharing my adulting failures. To have built it to what it is now with over 20,000 of you following my wee journey is absolutely mental. I am so incredibly grateful to each and every one of you. Thank you also to my wee brother, Seán, who built me the website in order to allow me to start writing and sharing more with you. That computer science degree is going to come in handy, ay? Thank you also to my parents, best buds, friends and family who tolerate me and all my shite. I consider myself incredibly lucky to be surrounded by such sarcastic and supportive people.

Right, I’m done being a sap.
In terms of the night itself, it was absolutely insane. I got you meet bloggers I’ve been following/stalking for years! Amongst them Funky Fashion Frolics!! Drinks were sponsored by Lillet, so it was a night on cocktails. The Arctic Stone were also in attendance which meant I got started working on my winter bod. Cookies and chocolate is the flavour to get!
The dress code was black and gold which proved more difficult than you’d think!! I owe a lot of thanks to the Zipyard for transforming my dress. I found a play suit dress in Topshop down from €70 to €25 and a top in Zara down to €13. The gals at the Zipyard were so talented in helping my to realise my vision in combing both pieces. I think they more than pulled it off!
Although I didn’t win the award in the end I am so far from disappointed. I am still on a buzz from last week. It was such a privilege to see my own little username listed beside the likes of Mrs Hinch and Melanie Murphy. I really think I’ve done my parents, my fam, pals and you guys proud. That is more than I could ever ask for. I’m really looking forward to next year and all the adventures that come with it!
Grá mór,
